Finding Home in Alaska

Kathy Kysar is an Alaska writer and Assistant Professor of English at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Her work has appeared in Mother Earth News, Last Frontier Magazine, Alaska Trapper, and Trapper's World. Inspired by years of off-grid living and life in rural Alaska, she writes about community, resilience, libraries, the natural world, and the search for home. Kathy lives with her husband in Sutton, Alaska, where they fish, hunt, garden, and share their cabin with two dogs and a flock of chickens.
